This past Saturday night, Matthew and I had dinner at our friends Caroline and Richard's house. Richard smoked a really good "drunk" chicken, but the highlight of the night was my friend Kemp's dessert. It was so good! She had so much Kahlua in it that she had a hard time getting it to stay together. Ha! Anyway, I asked her for the recipe and she told me she just kind of made it up, so here it goes...
You will need:
Ice Cream Sandwiches (you can also use any kind of chocolate cake as your base instead)
Chocolate Mousse - 1 box
Cool Whip - 1 large container
Toffee (Heath Bar or a Skor Bar)
Putting it all together:Place the ice cream sandwiches or baked cake on the bottom of the pan or bowl.
Pour your desired amount of Kahlua across the top.
Add a layer of chocolate mousse.
Then a layer of cool whip.
Top off with a layer of toffee and chocolate syrup.
Repeat these steps until you get to the top of the pan.
Keep your dish in the freezer until you are ready to serve.
