Leah's Christmas Recipe - Savory Breakfast Casserole

Who doesn't love a good casserole; especially a cheesy, savory one. This my Christmas tradition recipe every single year. It's reliable, as it never fails me. I inherited the recipe from one of my friend's moms. I change one thing the pictures do not show (hit on that later). You will need the following ingredients.

2 pkg crescent rolls

1 lb spicy (Jimmy Dean) sausage, browned and drained

7 eggs, beaten

A splash of milk

1 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded colby jack cheese

1 cup shredded monzarella cheese

Preheat your oven to 350. Take a 9×13 pan and spray it with Pam. Roll out crescent rolls in the bottom of the pan and bake in the oven until lightly brown....not all the way cooked.

Next, brown the sausage, drain and set to the side. In a large bowl, mix together the eggs, all cheeses, and for moisture a SPLASH - only a splash of milk. Add in the sausage and mix. Pour the mixture on top of the already "lightly browned" crescent rolls. Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for about 25-30mins.

Now, this is where I add a little something extra. Pull the casserole out after 25-30 mins of cooking and place the 2nd package of crescent rolls on top of the casserole. Put back in the oven for about 15 mins to cook. Remove once the rolls are cooked on top. And, most importantly enjoy!!!!
